The Great Read Kick-Off: Linda Gorham Presents Young Martin Luther King, Jr.

Many people think of Martin Luther King, Jr. as an adult. Most of his pictures show him in a black suit with a dark tie as he is giving passionate speeches. For many of us, we rarely think of him as a boy growing up in the south. His youthful experiences with segregation likely inspired him and gave him the impetus to march, write and speak out so that the laws in the United States could be changed protect all people. Professional storyteller, Linda Gorham will tell the story Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr as a youth and teenager. Doors open at 6pm, program begins at 6:30pm.  Light refreshments will be served. All ages with adult, no registration required.
